Comprehensive pediatric and youth care with a personalized, flexible approach — rooted in partnership with your family and your community.
Our approach
Pediatric care that puts your family first
Every child is unique, and great pediatric care starts with listening. Our practice in Waimea provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young adults — from newborn through the transition to adult medicine. We believe in building long-term relationships with families, offering personalized attention in a welcoming, unhurried environment.
We serve families across North Hawaiʻi, including the broader Waimea, Waikoloa, and Kohala communities. Whether you are a long-time local family or new to the island, we are here to be your trusted partner in your child’s health and development.
Preventive care
Well-child exams: the foundation of healthy development
Well-child visits — sometimes called wellness exams or health maintenance visits — are scheduled, proactive check-ups that take place throughout childhood and adolescence. These are not just for when your child is sick. They are an opportunity to monitor growth and development, catch concerns early, update records, and give you as a parent the guidance and support you need at each stage.
At each visit, we review your child’s physical growth, developmental milestones, nutrition, sleep, behavior, school performance, and mental well-being. We also complete required health forms for school enrollment, sports physicals, and camp clearances.

Vaccine philosophy
An individualized approach to vaccination
Our policy
Respecting your family's values and decisions
We recognize that vaccination is a personal and sometimes complex topic. Our practice does not apply a one-size-fits-all policy. Instead, we engage in open, honest, and non-judgmental conversations with each family to understand your questions, concerns, and medical history.
We will always share the best available evidence and our clinical perspective. We will never pressure or dismiss. Our goal is to be a trusted resource so that you can make informed decisions that are right for your child — decisions we will support and document with care.
Partnership
Decisions made together, with mutual respect and open dialogue.
Evidence-based guidance
We share current medical evidence clearly and without pressure.
Non-judgmental care
Your family's values are respected. No judgment, ever.
Proper documentation
All vaccine decisions are documented appropriately for school and travel records.
We are also experienced in assisting families who need to navigate school enrollment requirements, exemption documentation, or catch-up schedules. Whatever your starting point, we meet you there.
Community partnerships
Proud partners of Waimea's school communities
We have built trusted relationships with the schools serving North Hawaiʻi’s children. Our familiarity with each school’s health documentation requirements means we can complete forms accurately, efficiently, and on your timeline.
